If your scanner came with the PaperPort software and you chose to have it installed, you can launch the software from the Start Menu or by double clicking the PaperPort Icon on your desktop.

Once you begin using the software there is a comprehensive help file to answer most common questions on how to use OneTouch. If you right click the OT icon there is a quick reference guide to help get you started. If it is hidden you can drag and drop it to the main task tray if desired. Note that, depending on your desktop settings, it may be in the hidden icon section which can be accessed by the up arrow in the task tray. You can open, and begin using your OneTouch software, by clicking on the OneTouch Icon in your Task Tray. Once a scanner is detected, the OneTouch service automatically launches the OneTouch scanning software. OneTouch runs a service on your computer to detect when a Xerox scanner has been connected and powered on. Perhaps the easiest is to use Visioneer’s OneTouch software that comes free with each scanner. You have numerous options to begin scanning. Close the scanner when you are finished.Make sure this cover is fully closed as it may break and cause damage to the scanner if it is not properly in place. Press gently on the compartment cover to lock in the scanner.Place the roller compartment cover in the scanner and lower it into place.Press gently on the metal bar on the left side to lock the roller in place with the black tab in the compartment.Carefully insert the gear end into the scanner and angle the roller down into the left side of the compartment.Make sure the flat side of the roller tip is aligned properly with the slot in the scanner. Align the plastic gear end on the right side of the roller with the gears in the roller compartment.

It is located at the bottom of the ADF tray near where the paper enters the scanner. Pull up on the double feed prevention roller cover and remove it from the scanner.Pull on the scanner cover release and lift the lid to open the scanner.The DF prevention roller is pack separately in the DM 4790 box and needs to be installed. The double-fee prevention roller is not installed. This ensures that the separation rollers are engaged.ī. Check the plastic level found on top of the scanner. The automatic/Manual feed mode level has been set to Manual. If not, using the new Control Center shortcut and toggling the feature off in camera settings (shown above) should fit the bill.A.
